Please
be aware of our summer hours. We are closing one hour earlier
each day, 4:00 weekdays and 3:00 on Saturday. We will also be
closing at 2:00 on Friday, July 3 and will open again on Monday,
July 6 at 10:00. Remember that if there's an evening class, we're
open.
Now that school is out and graduations are over we can all take
a deep breath, relax and do something fun for ourselves. (I still
can't believe that my first grandchild just graduated, how did
that happen, she was just in kindergarten!)
To
help you afford some extras this summer we're having some specials
and sales. We (Beth) sorted through the racks and added quite
a bit to the expanded sale shelves. Check out what she put over
there while I was away!
July
1 - August 31 we are having a "Sizzling Summer Class Sale". We're
offering 15% off all adult classes. There's a variety of great
classes & techniques to choose from. There's something for everyone.
Check
out the kids classes also. Our "Young Sewers" will be whipping
up some great projects this summer with Mrs. Ims. In addition
to the beginning sewing class there is a skirt, an apron, two
quilts and a cosmetic bag from which to choose. This is a super
way to spend summer vacation: make new friends, learn new skills,
and have a ton of fun!
June
was our last official Stash Pot Pie until the fall. Several of
the ladies have unfinished months so we will be starting a "Leftover"
session on July 6. We'll be open for sewing every Monday, July
through August, 10:30 - 3:30. Anyone can come, even if you weren't
part of Stash Pot Pie. Finish up those pesky UFO's and start some
new projects in the Fall, guilt free! The cost is $5.00 and beverages
will be provided.
Thanks
to all the ladies that helped with the Monroe County Fair "Mitten
Project". We were able to send 109 scarves and 100 pairs of mittens
to them. They will be on display during the fair, July 15 - 19,
and will be donated to the Rochester City School district at a
special ceremony at the Dome on Sunday, July 19 at 1:00 p.m.
We
will be announcing our next "Quilters Care" project at our July
